I can see, hear, feel think, say and do.
I have the tools to survive,
to be close to others,
to be productive,
and to make sense and order out of the world of people and things outside of me. – Virginia Satir
Asking for help takes courage and strength.
Honoring that, I will work with you to create a supportive space, one that is large enough to safely hold all your feelings. Together, we will gently, at your own pace, identify the blocks that are preventing you from having the relationships and life you imagine living.
I provide individual, couples, trauma and group psychotherapy services.
I am authentically with you, supporting you as you courageously lean into your fear, sadness, isolation, anger, and contempt, helping you remove these roadblocks from your life forever. You can find me on the AEDP website, having completed my training with Diana Foshe, creator of Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy.
Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, EFT, is my roadmap for working with couples. Developed by Dr. Susan Johnson, EFT is a short term couples, family, and individual therapy model that helps you understand how your early thoughts, memories, and expectations from relationships with parents and other relationships, are impacting all of your present relationships.
Most importantly, you will ‘get it,’ right in front of your very eyes, in the moment, and can immediately make simple changes in your own reactions to your loved ones. You can find me on the EFT website, and see for yourself that it is a modality that has been researched and found to be a successful approach to couples therapy.
My training in Attachment Focused EMDR, helps me show my clients how to heal emotional relationships by calling upon your own internal resources to help you comfort yourself when feeling overwhelmed, panicked, or emotionally paralyzed. EMDR is a short-termed therapy approach that has been researched and found to be a successful therapy for PTSD. I can be found on the Emotionally Attached EMDR website, trained by Dr. Laurel Parnell.
The group becomes a safe environment in which clients feel comfortable speaking about their deepest fears, relationship problems, career obstacles, and any and everything else they need to process. Finally the client is relieved to have the feedback from peers and myself, and he/she no longer feels so ‘alone.’ Learn about our weekly: Psychodynamic Group
